Every year in India, over 12,000 people die due to the unavailability of blood, and more than 1.9 million units go unmet due to gaps in donation and access. Many of these lives could have been saved if help had arrived just minutes earlier.
Ashayam Foundation believes that in a country with over a billion people, no one should die because they couldn’t find a blood donor in time. This belief led to the creation of Raktamitra—a digital platform built to connect blood donors with patients in real time. It simplifies emergency requests and brings verified donors within reach, faster than ever before.
Raktamitra isn’t just an app—it’s a life-saving initiative driven by empathy, urgency, and technology. It ensures no blood request goes unanswered, especially when time equals life.
To bring this to life, Ashayam Foundation is launching the Raktamitra Internship Program—a chance for passionate students and developers to contribute to this mission.
Interns will help build the Raktamitra web app, which will later become a mobile app. You’ll work with technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Firebase.
This internship isn’t just about building software—it’s about saving lives. A single line of code can mean the difference between life and loss. Join us in creating a platform where hope meets help.
